OLDTOWN — Club Rio pushed into first place at the Wednesday night loopers bowling league here March 1, improving to 311-256 just ahead of Why Try Harder with a record of 308-259. Woodwise holds third place at 289-278 followed by McCroskey Defense 283.5-283.5, OK Lanes 255.5-311.5 and Here for the Beer 239-309.

Tim Hoisington had a stellar night, sweeping individual high scores with a 252 high scratch game, 287 high handicap game, 649 high scratch series, and 754 high handicap series. Likewise, Club Rio swept the team high score categories March 1 with an 800 high team scratch game, 932 high handicap game, 2078 high team scratch series, and 2474 high handicap series. Converted splits included: Jim Loveridge 2-10 and Pat Shields 2-7.
