There are no background checks, no questions asked at the Priest River Gun Show.

Who can buy a weapon? Anyone — felon, wife abuser, someone with a violent record — Anyone. You’ve just got to have the money. No questions asked.

So what you say?

Recently, two Priest River policemen were shot. A friend from Newport was shot to death. The scumballs who do these things can buy guns at our gun show without a background check. It’s all about the money. Money for the gun sellers, money for the school district.

Does anyone care that we are making it so easy for dangerous people to get their hands on a gun?

I hope you care. It is wrong to support this deadly practice. Let the school board know this promotes more and more violence.

Call the school district at 448-4439 if you care.
