PRIEST RIVER — Sandy Brower held off challenger David Sears in elections Tuesday by a vote of 77-65, ensuring that Brower will continue to lead the West Bonner County School District board of trustees alongside fellow school board member Drew McLain, who ran unopposed and did not appear on the ballot. In the race for Priest Lake Library District, Nancy Bushman prevailed over Barbara Benscoter 57-22 to win a six-year term as trustee, while Rosemary Yocum ran unopposed for a three-year term and netted 49 votes. Rainy conditions and the absence of big-ticket federal or state ballot items helped voter turnout lag across the county.
