PRIEST LAKE — More Priest Lake waterfront will be in private ownership soon, as the Idaho Department of Lands is planning to auction 61 cabins off Aug. 18-19.

Of the 61 properties, 57 of them are leased to people who have cabins currently on them. The aution will take place at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, at 115 S. 2nd Street in Coeur d’Alene.

According to the Corbett Bottles auctioneer site, bidders will be paying for the lot only and will need to pay for the cost of the improvements, an appraisal fee, an administration fee, and a title insurance deposit the day of the auction. Bidders who do not currently own the cabins on the properties they bid on will have to present a cashier’s check made out to First American Title Company in the amount of $50,000 in order to bid. All lots for sale must meet or exceed the reserve price in order to be sold. Properties will be sold “as-is.”
