Spartan boys XC team earns fifth at Post Falls

POST FALLS — The Priest River cross country program took on the big schools at the Post Falls River Run here Sept. 2. The Spartan boys placed fifth among 11 teams, while the girls placed 8th, said head coach Lance Clark. Runners Cameron Parkes and Caleb Gleason placed 8th and 18th overall among the boys. Lady Spartan runner Sharnai Hogan improved her personal best by two minutes, said Clark.

Parkes placed 8th with a time of 18:27.5, with Gleason in 18th at 19:30.5, Konner Durham at 31st in 20:05.1, Slava Negrieiev in 39th at 20:31.6, Jordan Phillips finishing at 20:45.9, Spencer Sedgwick at 23:53.2, and Graden Hanes at 25:45.0.

Hogan finished 23rd at 24:36.6, with Katelynn Marks at 26:28.8, Izzie Schmidt at 26:39.4, Annika Rantala at 26:56.5, Amber Johnston at 29:11.6, and Reinie Proctor at 33:58.7.
