LAS VEGAS — Local mini-bull rider Orion Grimes scored a belt buckle when he won the second round of the Chris Shivers Miniature Bull Riders World Finals here Nov. 1. Grimes’ mother Jolene Meek said the young rodeo star traveled to Las Vegas the week of Halloween and had three rides, two of which he got bucked off and one of which he scored 64.5. Grimes earned his second round victory Nov. 1 with a 77 score. Meek added, “Thank you to all of his sponsors for making this possible and helping Orion chase his dreams! And thank you to Alysa Davis and Cirildo and Lillie Leal for making this organization possible! We are proud to be a part of such a wonderful rodeo family!”
