Grizzlies lose to W. Valley, beat Medical Lake

SPOKANE — Newport fell to West Valley 56-50 at the Eagle Holiday Classic here Dec. 29. Collin Sather led Newport with 20 points, and Koa Pancho added 15 points as the Grizzlies attempted to come back from a 30-23 halftime deficit. The home team built their lead during the third quarter and Newport’s seven-point edge in the final quarter was not enough to pull out the win.

However, the Grizzlies prevailed in a Jan. 4 contest with Medical Lake thanks to Pancho’s double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Bradbury also scored 11 points in the 57-43 win.
